Jeff Sharlet is a cofounder, with Peter Manseau, of the online literary magazine Killing The Buddha. The two are also coauthors of Killing the Buddha: A Heretic's Bible. Sharlet is the author of The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power, is a contributing editor to Harper's and Rolling Stone, and is an associate research scholar at New York University's Center for Religion and Media. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
