How does the buzz influencer program work?

Beacon Press will provide you with books and give you the opportunity to read and review them to help drive buzz around the book. While reviews and posts are encouraged, they are not required. You will receive regular emails with upcoming titles that you can request copies of.

Note: If you are an influencer or have a social media presence but also contribute to a media outlet, please disclose that in your outreach to us.

Are buzz influencers paid?

Beacon Press does not offer monetary compensation for buzz mailings that have no posting requirement.

Beacon Press does offer monetary compensation for sponsored content where posting is required. These paid posts will be within specific parameters, including timing and content guidelines, and potentially content approval.

Do you only work with influencers in the book space (Bookstagrammers, BookTokers, BookTubers) or are you open to working with influencers in other interest areas?

While we most frequently work with book influencers, we are also keen to work with influencers whose primary focus is not on books. If you and your audience have a genuine interest in books and reading, we’d love to consider working with you.

Are there any requirements for signing up to be part of a buzz influencer program?

To sign up for our buzz mailing program, you must have an active and public social media platform with an engaged following. We like to see genuine excitement for books and influencers sharing and reading a diverse selection of books from a diverse selection of voices. You must be a resident of the United States and 18+ years old.

What are we looking for in a buzz influencer?

ENGAGEMENT

We look at your followers and the likes and comments on your posts, as well as at how you engage with those followers: Do you engage with other content creators, followers, and publishers?

CONTENT AND CONSISTENCY

We look at the content you feature and how regularly you post. We love a perspective that is unique to you, and we want to see how your audience goes to you, specifically, to learn about what you are reading.

CREATIVITY

We love seeing influencers posting content in unique ways, from TikTok trends to Instagram lives.

DIVERSITY

Beacon aims to uplift underrepresented voices. Influencers with disabilities, influencers of color, and those who identify as LGBTQ+ are strongly encouraged to apply.
