Dr. Harper B. Keenan is an assistant professor in the department of Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Keenan earned a master’s degree in Elementary Special and General Education from Bank Street College of Education, and a PhD in Curriculum and Teacher Education from Stanford University. Dr. Keenan’s scholarship has been published in a variety of academic journals, including Educational Researcher, Harvard Educational Review, Teachers College Record, Curriculum Inquiry, and Gender & Education. His work has also been featured in a number of popular press outlets, such as CBC National News, Teen Vogue, NPR, NBC National News, Reuters, Slate, and EdWeek.
