Robert L. Fried is a retired professor of education at Northeastern University and former executive director of the Upper Valley Educators Institute. He has been an education reform advocate at all levels, elementary through higher education. He is the author of numerous books, including The Passionate Teacher, The Passionate Learner, and The Game of School. He lives with his wife in Concord, New Hampshire.
