Biography: Gail Dines has written and lectured on the porn industry for over two decades. She is professor of sociology and women's studies at Wheelock College. The author of two books and a regular commentator on pornography, she's appeared on NPR, CNN, FOX, and Showtime and in publications like USA Today, the Boston Globe, Time, Newsweek, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Her PowerPoint slideshow is taught in classrooms around the world from Dublin, London, and Glasgow to Quebec, France, and the Congo. In 2007, she served as the expert witness in a case against Joe Francis, owner of 'Girls Gone Wild.' Dines is a recipient of the Myers Center Award for the Study of Human Rights in North America and a founding member of the group Stop Porn Culture.
