Katherine Newman
Biography: Katherine S. Newman is the Malcolm S. Forbes Class of 1941 Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs at Princeton University. She is the author of eight other books on poverty, downward mobility and school violence, including most recently Chutes and Ladders: Navigating the Low-Wage Labor Market. She previously taught at Harvard, Columbia and the University of California, Berkeley.
