Submission Guidelines

If you would like Beacon Press to consider your work and believe it would be a good fit for our list, please send us a letter of inquiry, a proposal, a current CV, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like your materials to be returned to you. Please note that we are not accepting new poetry or fiction at this time, and will not review, respond to, or return unagented submissions of this type. Please do not send entire manuscripts, and note that we do not accept submissions by e-mail or fax. Due to the large volume of unsolicited submissions we receive, we cannot accept phone calls or other inquiries regarding unsolicited submissions. Once we receive your proposal materials, we will respond within approximately four months.
